Since opening its doors in 2011, this unique Farmstall on the outskirts of Hopefield has become somewhat of a landmark on the West Coast.
The Plaasmol Padstal (Farmstall) is filled to the brim with exciting colours, friendly faces, and a variety of activities for the whole family. This wonderful tongue-in-the-cheek eatery, farmstall, nursery, petting zoo, and pub, promotes a healthy, organic lifestyle and is passionate about recycling, upcycling, and caring for the environment as well as the local community.
We are situated 5km out of Hopefield on the R45 in the direction of Vredenburg/Langebaan. It is opposite Rainbow Chickens. The R45 is the main road from Malmesbury to Vredenburg. The farm is about 120km from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town. Other nearby towns include Velddrif, Langebaan, and Paternoster.
The family, who goes by the name “Span Plaasmol” – created a cheerful café and farmstall experience that captures the laid-back small-town atmosphere that Hopefield is justifiably famous for.
